A Group of Men to look For
Back in the day we all loved groups. Starting with Jodeci,Silk, Mint Condition and then on to classic groups such as 112, Jagged Edge, and Dru Hill. It seems now they are basically extinct oh until now. I was on twitter and saw everybody retweeting about the best music group. So I had to check it out for myself. This group called Hamilton Park out of Atlanta is well worth listening to. It really reminds you of original r+b. Something that you can relax to or dream about your significant to without all the auto tunes. One song I particularly like, titled special delivery. I must say it was pretty good. Check them out on twitter or myspace Hamilton Park.
Cooking at the House
So y'all know I don't like to cook. Catch 22, again I'm tired of eating out this week. Krystal's I love you but we have to part ways this week. I know y'all remember grill ham and cheese sandwiches. The only way to cook the sandwich is by letting the edges of ham get a little burnt. That was the recipe portion burn edges y'all got that. The best side dish was the dill pickle tatar chips (That's how we talk). My favorite drink, in the world topped it off with a coke. Y'all spring is here pray for me because these items are still in my diet.

I Forgot Who I am?
By now we have all heard Monica new cd, right? If not please invest, it is worth it! On the cd, is one of my favorite songs, titled Believing In Me. It talks about how the relationship went sour. In the midst of the relationship going bad, how Monica feels like she has lost herself and been so giving of herself that she is getting weak. When I first heard it I was like who told Monica my business? In has been in my past experiences and present that sometimes after we have smelled the other persons morning breath and pass gas in front of one another that things has changed. Changed so much that we sometimes can not recognize ourselves.
And like Monica, we both are gaining control and and beginning to love ourselves again. I don't want to spend much time over the lost ones or the wasted emotions. But slumber in the fact are women that pay bills, take out trash, and got lid processors that open up jars. So every week I am scratching off reasons why we don't need men. So men lets go. Seriously, let's go get jobs and learn crafts. I know everyone is different so calm done boys. I won't ever go ham on you guys, because I too want a king that's worth following one day. Oh but I am not submissive so walk beside with one day. Wheeew, that's better y'all. (Lord, you know you are my ultimate leader)
(Whispering) Back to us women, the most important beings. I am a woman but most importantly, I am a black woman. As black women it is to our understanding that finding a good black man is rare. So sometimes anyone that appear to be good, we want to give them the world honey. We are cooking, cleaning, and missing school or whatever to be around this man. In the process are we really missing out on our individuality? I know that no relationship is equal, however I do not ever want to forget who I am.
If the balance beam seems to ever be so one-sided I pray that I am given the strength to let it go. At that point I would re evaluate my principles and goals that I enter the relationship with to rediscover myself. When we enter into relationships I know we should change the I to we, but is there anything wrong with separation at times. Ladies, I'm not saying leave your boo, because you been going shorty and not going to stop. If he look like TI, others are lurking including myself. Just playing I think in order to be a functional and happy 2, that individuals should be a complete 1. Couples argue for various reasons, but with a full or semi understanding of oneself it eliminate egos and insecurities. So women especially, lets show earthly things such as jobs and men that we have our own lives, thoughts, and ideas but the love for neither will not get compromised.
Moral of the story to man, woman or beast overall lets all start believing in ourselves.

"Best Food on a Budget"
Y'all guess what I rediscovered? Wendy's honey. I was coming from the club and originally I wanted to go to Krystal's but it was packed so I caught an attitude. Until I saw Wendy's no customers, so I was like cool. Went over there didn't know what to order because I'm not a big fan. I got what I use to get a double stack, fries, and a frosty. OMG, Wendy put her ponytails in that sandwich y'all. It was so good and hot I know it was above temperature. I recommend this. I know spring is here. Y'all try it at your own risk.
" FAT vs. Skinny"
For years and years this have been up in the air do society prefer skinny or fat people? I don't even like that term so I'm going to say heavy set. My answer is I think they do prefer skinny. I am happy to be apart of the side, that I can demolish a baby cub or what ever I want to destroy and not be ashamed if people are looking.(Meaning I don't exercise everyday). All this is coming from the Howard Stern and Gabourey Sidibe aka "Precious" beef.
A couple days ago my sister called me and was like "girl you heard about Precious and Howard Stern". I'm like a "little" because I don't care for Howard or co- host Robin comments majority of the time. She's like "they going ham (ham meaning relentlessly harsh comments) about her weight and career". She went on to say that the company Acai Berry contacted Gabbie with their concerns about her weight. Y'all I had to ask her three times, Acai who? That must be her mama or another close relative to be bold enough to write a letter stating concerns about a grown lady. No it's a diet pill company. Go here to see actual letter>>>> http://www.tmz.com/2010/03/15/gabourey-sidibe-weight-loss-obesity-acai-diet-precious-oscar/.
After hearing this I began to think how the world view plus size people. If you look around and not so very far, starting with your t.v., a magazine in your home, or listen when heavy set people are around and you will get your answer.
Heavy set people are discriminated against no matter what race, it seems as though harsh words are always their destiny. Many people are heavy set for various reasons; genetics, lack of exercise, and etc. With saying that who are we to point out the oh so obvious. Such as Gabbie, I'm pretty sure she is reminded of her weight everyday and with this new fame every minute, so why do we need to say anything. YES, many will argue for health reasons but she is new to this and we are unaware of her living conditions before this. We all know to eat healthy it cost and Whole Foods I don't know y'all correct me ain't taking ebt. So here come Ramen with a ba zillion (slang) sodium count and Krystal's chili cheese fries (Y'all know I got to sponsor them.)So lets not do to much judging not knowing anyone's situation.
Many may think she is a bad role model such as Lindsay Lohan or Brittney at one point in time for displaying obesity. I feel like she is not displaying obesity but truimph over discrimination. We as black people and fellow plus size person have not witnessed that much success as hers with that body type and complexion.
So to Howard (dirty q tip)and everybody else if you do not have genuine concern about this lady leave her alone because y'all inside traits are just as ugly as her percentage body fat. Yes, health is very important to me and other fans but when have negative feedback ever helped? So today let's encourage some one to eat healthy and stay active. To Acai Berry, if y'all want to do charity work give them to every obese person and not just to a celeb who you want to sponsor you to make you more money. To the world stop letting ads dictate what is beautiful because I see a lot more female linebackers and d cup men than Beyonce's and TI's. So we all must appreciate what was given to us and be comfortable in our skin. To the T.V., when are you ever going to mirror a true reflection of society?

"You Came Just in Time"
By now we have all seen the Keys- Nikki Minaji diss if not honey look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W8_xOWd4-Y.I first saw this clip courtesy of Necole Bitchie. Before I watched the clip, I read the comments of other viewers. For the most part every comment I read stated that the artist to be who goes by the name Keys was fat, broke, and ugly. So after that I had to watch the video. So one minute go by I'm like wow " This b^tch simply not rapping right", I chuckled to myself. After three minutes "Faker than that a$$ you got" by this time I'm laughing out loud. When it was over I was thinking that was just what hip hop needed.
First, let me start off by saying I do not agree with someone's success being based off another person humiliation. However I also don't agree with someone proclaiming they the best but have no competition. In other words to be the best you have to beat the best.
To address Keys, I feel like she did her thang and what many of us were thinking. I know what I was thinking because I have yet to join the Nikki bandwagon. But still I appreciate everybody work, so do you Nikki. I must admit Keys got flow; she actually made me believe in female rappers again. I'm happy she wasn't talking about all the money she can get from men, how sexy she is, or just so much sex in general that you need a condom to listen to it.
Keys was actually following tradition but looked upon as hating these days, she was battling. Everybody know especially in the black community we were taught if you fight go hard or you going get it when you get home and that's what she did. She did it the safest way, verbally and displaying her craft at the same time. Although I would have never took that approach, it was needed.
To Nikki, I can appreciate your hustle, creativity, and ability to brand. However WTF you be talking about and in what voice. Sometimes I be listening to her thinking I'm going crazy because of her different accents. I actually can't say ye or nay to Nikki because I haven't heard much of her material other than whats on the radio. So everybody keep telling me to check out her mixtape, but I feel if you good I shouldn't have to dig for evidence that proof should be on mass communication such as the radio. Nikki declared her self to be the bestest, but she had no competition. With my girl Eve off the scene and Trinia somewhere shopping in Miami who she was going against?
To sum it up I think Keys is cute but do it matter because when did people start buying music because people was cute? If so Biggie would have not been number one and arguably the greatest of all time. Y'all say Keys broke, everybody starts from somewhere. Onika did not have money until she became Nikki. To Nikki keep doing what you doing I may not get it but people love you. To society love people for their craft and not exterior or butt literally.
