" FAT vs. Skinny"

For years and years this have been up in the air do society prefer skinny or fat people? I don't even like that term so I'm going to say heavy set. My answer is I think they do prefer skinny. I am happy to be apart of the side, that I can demolish a baby cub or what ever I want to destroy and not be ashamed if people are looking.(Meaning I don't exercise everyday). All this is coming from the Howard Stern and Gabourey Sidibe aka "Precious" beef.

A couple days ago my sister called me and was like "girl you heard about Precious and Howard Stern". I'm like a "little" because I don't care for Howard or co- host Robin comments majority of the time. She's like "they going ham (ham meaning relentlessly harsh comments) about her weight and career". She went on to say that the company Acai Berry contacted Gabbie with their concerns about her weight. Y'all I had to ask her three times, Acai who? That must be her mama or another close relative to be bold enough to write a letter stating concerns about a grown lady. No it's a diet pill company. Go here to see actual letter>>>> http://www.tmz.com/2010/03/15/gabourey-sidibe-weight-loss-obesity-acai-diet-precious-oscar/.

After hearing this I began to think how the world view plus size people. If you look around and not so very far, starting with your t.v., a magazine in your home, or listen when heavy set people are around and you will get your answer.

Heavy set people are discriminated against no matter what race, it seems as though harsh words are always their destiny. Many people are heavy set for various reasons; genetics, lack of exercise, and etc. With saying that who are we to point out the oh so obvious. Such as Gabbie, I'm pretty sure she is reminded of her weight everyday and with this new fame every minute, so why do we need to say anything. YES, many will argue for health reasons but she is new to this and we are unaware of her living conditions before this. We all know to eat healthy it cost and Whole Foods I don't know y'all correct me ain't taking ebt. So here come Ramen with a ba zillion (slang) sodium count and Krystal's chili cheese fries (Y'all know I got to sponsor them.)So lets not do to much judging not knowing anyone's situation.

Many may think she is a bad role model such as Lindsay Lohan or Brittney at one point in time for displaying obesity. I feel like she is not displaying obesity but truimph over discrimination. We as black people and fellow plus size person have not witnessed that much success as hers with that body type and complexion.

So to Howard (dirty q tip)and everybody else if you do not have genuine concern about this lady leave her alone because y'all inside traits are just as ugly as her percentage body fat. Yes, health is very important to me and other fans but when have negative feedback ever helped? So today let's encourage some one to eat healthy and stay active. To Acai Berry, if y'all want to do charity work give them to every obese person and not just to a celeb who you want to sponsor you to make you more money. To the world stop letting ads dictate what is beautiful because I see a lot more female linebackers and d cup men than Beyonce's and TI's. So we all must appreciate what was given to us and be comfortable in our skin. To the T.V., when are you ever going to mirror a true reflection of society?
