"Best Food on a Budget"
Y'all guess what I rediscovered? Wendy's honey. I was coming from the club and originally I wanted to go to Krystal's but it was packed so I caught an attitude. Until I saw Wendy's no customers, so I was like cool. Went over there didn't know what to order because I'm not a big fan. I got what I use to get a double stack, fries, and a frosty. OMG, Wendy put her ponytails in that sandwich y'all. It was so good and hot I know it was above temperature. I recommend this. I know spring is here. Y'all try it at your own risk.
" FAT vs. Skinny"
For years and years this have been up in the air do society prefer skinny or fat people? I don't even like that term so I'm going to say heavy set. My answer is I think they do prefer skinny. I am happy to be apart of the side, that I can demolish a baby cub or what ever I want to destroy and not be ashamed if people are looking.(Meaning I don't exercise everyday). All this is coming from the Howard Stern and Gabourey Sidibe aka "Precious" beef.
A couple days ago my sister called me and was like "girl you heard about Precious and Howard Stern". I'm like a "little" because I don't care for Howard or co- host Robin comments majority of the time. She's like "they going ham (ham meaning relentlessly harsh comments) about her weight and career". She went on to say that the company Acai Berry contacted Gabbie with their concerns about her weight. Y'all I had to ask her three times, Acai who? That must be her mama or another close relative to be bold enough to write a letter stating concerns about a grown lady. No it's a diet pill company. Go here to see actual letter>>>> http://www.tmz.com/2010/03/15/gabourey-sidibe-weight-loss-obesity-acai-diet-precious-oscar/.
After hearing this I began to think how the world view plus size people. If you look around and not so very far, starting with your t.v., a magazine in your home, or listen when heavy set people are around and you will get your answer.
Heavy set people are discriminated against no matter what race, it seems as though harsh words are always their destiny. Many people are heavy set for various reasons; genetics, lack of exercise, and etc. With saying that who are we to point out the oh so obvious. Such as Gabbie, I'm pretty sure she is reminded of her weight everyday and with this new fame every minute, so why do we need to say anything. YES, many will argue for health reasons but she is new to this and we are unaware of her living conditions before this. We all know to eat healthy it cost and Whole Foods I don't know y'all correct me ain't taking ebt. So here come Ramen with a ba zillion (slang) sodium count and Krystal's chili cheese fries (Y'all know I got to sponsor them.)So lets not do to much judging not knowing anyone's situation.
Many may think she is a bad role model such as Lindsay Lohan or Brittney at one point in time for displaying obesity. I feel like she is not displaying obesity but truimph over discrimination. We as black people and fellow plus size person have not witnessed that much success as hers with that body type and complexion.
So to Howard (dirty q tip)and everybody else if you do not have genuine concern about this lady leave her alone because y'all inside traits are just as ugly as her percentage body fat. Yes, health is very important to me and other fans but when have negative feedback ever helped? So today let's encourage some one to eat healthy and stay active. To Acai Berry, if y'all want to do charity work give them to every obese person and not just to a celeb who you want to sponsor you to make you more money. To the world stop letting ads dictate what is beautiful because I see a lot more female linebackers and d cup men than Beyonce's and TI's. So we all must appreciate what was given to us and be comfortable in our skin. To the T.V., when are you ever going to mirror a true reflection of society?

"You Came Just in Time"
By now we have all seen the Keys- Nikki Minaji diss if not honey look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W8_xOWd4-Y.I first saw this clip courtesy of Necole Bitchie. Before I watched the clip, I read the comments of other viewers. For the most part every comment I read stated that the artist to be who goes by the name Keys was fat, broke, and ugly. So after that I had to watch the video. So one minute go by I'm like wow " This b^tch simply not rapping right", I chuckled to myself. After three minutes "Faker than that a$$ you got" by this time I'm laughing out loud. When it was over I was thinking that was just what hip hop needed.
First, let me start off by saying I do not agree with someone's success being based off another person humiliation. However I also don't agree with someone proclaiming they the best but have no competition. In other words to be the best you have to beat the best.
To address Keys, I feel like she did her thang and what many of us were thinking. I know what I was thinking because I have yet to join the Nikki bandwagon. But still I appreciate everybody work, so do you Nikki. I must admit Keys got flow; she actually made me believe in female rappers again. I'm happy she wasn't talking about all the money she can get from men, how sexy she is, or just so much sex in general that you need a condom to listen to it.
Keys was actually following tradition but looked upon as hating these days, she was battling. Everybody know especially in the black community we were taught if you fight go hard or you going get it when you get home and that's what she did. She did it the safest way, verbally and displaying her craft at the same time. Although I would have never took that approach, it was needed.
To Nikki, I can appreciate your hustle, creativity, and ability to brand. However WTF you be talking about and in what voice. Sometimes I be listening to her thinking I'm going crazy because of her different accents. I actually can't say ye or nay to Nikki because I haven't heard much of her material other than whats on the radio. So everybody keep telling me to check out her mixtape, but I feel if you good I shouldn't have to dig for evidence that proof should be on mass communication such as the radio. Nikki declared her self to be the bestest, but she had no competition. With my girl Eve off the scene and Trinia somewhere shopping in Miami who she was going against?
To sum it up I think Keys is cute but do it matter because when did people start buying music because people was cute? If so Biggie would have not been number one and arguably the greatest of all time. Y'all say Keys broke, everybody starts from somewhere. Onika did not have money until she became Nikki. To Nikki keep doing what you doing I may not get it but people love you. To society love people for their craft and not exterior or butt literally.

"Music Surprise"
I was up really late last night on the computer just looking around and stumbled across Diggy Simmons mixtape. Trust me I did not plan to write about this. My goal is to promote local underground artist but I was so impressed. Yes I'm talking about Diggy from Run's House, and he did it without cursing or bow bowing. Everybody listen to "Made You Look" what this teen is saying is good and has meaning.
Yes, "Meaning" is back in style.
Don't get me wrong I like to go shorty more than anybody, but it is refreshing to hear words with substance. No, his words is not healing the sick or made me have to get a dictionary. For those who love hip hop; its has a pioneer Jay Z or Nas feel that's like wow O he did that.
I was surprise to like a non cursing rap song by a child so much

"The Best Food on a Budget"
Anybody that knows me, know I hate to cook. The catch 22 with that is, I love to eat. So I eat out a lot. For the folks who don't eat at Spondivits, Papadeux, or Behaina next best thing is Krystal's. Particularly, the chili cheese fries because cheese is my vegetable. I highly recommend this, hurry before spring hits.
Why do I watch this?
Who love the "Bad Girls Club"? Well I do, and I am sad that its coming to an end. I can't wait til the reunion honey. ( See how I talk even when I'm being messy in my Kirkwood voice) First and foremost, I don't condone violence because we are too old to be getting musty and fighting. Mainly its not worth it. However who want to see Annie get touched again? I definitely want Natalie to get donkey coned.
For those who don't, "Bad Girls Club" is a reality show on Oxygen, about a diverse group of women living under one roof. I don't know its purpose. All I see is girls going to the club embarrassing themselves; like a typical Saturday at Central Station but its soooo funny in the process. Why do I like this?
I like to think that its therapeutic.
I'm not a messy person by nature, it helps to fulfill my trash fetish. I refuse to be on Facebook, Twitter, Skype, U Stream or whatever living life to the maxx but still hating on others through cyber space. People who really living life to the maxx don't have time. Ugh I just got my own pressure up. Don't get me started on that.
Seriously, women when are we going to get for real and let the world know we don't want to be portrayed on television as a gold diggers or some one needing a man. Instead we are very much needed in the workforce, home, and on earth. We need to demand more from television that educate and further us as beings.
The only things I have learned from this show, is that Natalie "Don't Run L.A." and that it don't matter how much your weave cost if your edges don't look good its a wrap.
What y'all think?

"Catch up Ole Miss"
I was sitting at home watching the movie "Milk", by the way is a pretty good movie if you can stomach boys touching boys. It stars Sean Penn and James Franco. Its about the first, elected, openly gay public official in the U.S. In the movie it showed the struggles and discrimination of gays during the late 50's-70's, but mostly the campaign of gay activist and politician Harvey Milk. While watching it I was thinking how far gays and lesbians has come along with legalization of gay marriages in more states.
Until, I read a lesbian teen in Mississippi, was told that her school's entire prom would be canceled if she brings her girlfriend and wear a tux. The kids were given instructions to only bring someone of the opposite sex. Since the teen is not complying with the school orders now its a law suit. After seeing this I was like dang, maybe they haven't came as far as I thought. I started reading some of the comments left by other viewers of this article and I was sure of it, people still have hatred for this group of people.
I would rather not repeat the comments because I don't condone discrimination. Unless you owe me money then you every name in the book. Seriously there were several mean spirited comments; whether you straight, gay, black, white or whoever. So now the question is whose right or wrong?
First, I want to start by saying I am not the sweet baby Jesus or the Father, so I don't have the answer but merely an opinion. I would like to thank the teen for standing up for something. I just thought kids these days wanted to swag surf, be futuristic, and think like Taylor Swift when your 15. No offense Taylor I love that song. I don't care if it is about the right to dance and kiss another girl in public. She stand for something instead of falling for anything like so many.
However I feel that it is unfair to the rest of the students that they can not enjoy a tradition. Especially when the teens are not close minded to the idea of the girls sexual preference but more upset because they can't party.
I don't know how it feel to be gay, but we all can relate to being stereotyped and outcast for one thing or another. I clearly remember how painful of experience it can be. So I can only imagined being ridicule for a preference or feelings that you may or may not be able to control. So here are the questions to such a controversial dilemma:
When did it become the school business who someone is intimate with?
When did we start teaching kids not to love thy neighbor despite our differences? ( Then wanna know why Johnny committed a hate crime)
What happen to freedom of speech or expression?
Overall, I feel we could learn to agree to disagree, educate one another about each other views, and not to hate and segregate. I am a sinner and can't judge. I know I will have to report one day to who I believe in; and with that I know the guidelines he has laid out for me to be with him eternally. So for whatever you believe in I hope the decisions you make now, is in preparation for where you want to be later.
P.S. I don't care for public display of affection of any kind straight or gay, so let's save it for yo mama couch.
